Bright and sunny day, fabulous beach!
The peer at Wellawatta.
He looks really shy doesn't he?
He was the only good looking one.
I finally sang a song and made the fellow come out =)
I was completely soaked after I finished taking pictures. I had to "Bada gaala"(crawl) and go along the rocks to get to the crabs. The rocks were really slippery and the soggy stuff on the rocks felt terrible when the squeezed in through my toes. Since the tide was low I made it to the other side. Kalu kella was faithful enough to stand by and do her job.
I hope you enjoyed it.
Cheers!
Wow, you crawled on the rocks next to the Kunu Ela to get those shots? I'd never go to such lengths to get a snap! You are truly dedicated to your hobby mate! You are awesome! The pics are wonderful too! :D

Perhaps your singing signaled the fact that you are a friend. Crabby must have reasoned that he has no known singing predators, and let his guard down. :D

ReplyDeleteI am not particularly fond of crabs (got bitten ones) but I actually felt sorry for this one as it tolerated your flashes (and singing :P) while on it's way to fame :)
